Why Kickstart Collective?Kickstart Collective is designed as a welcoming entry point into soccer, especially for newcomers and families who may not yet feel ready for competitive teams. Our sessions are:
• Low-pressure and beginner-friendly
• Focused on skill-building and confidence
• A space to meet other families and players in the communityMany of our participants go on to join local clubs after building confidence here, often through connections made between parents during sessions. Each session includes skill work, full-pitch games, and fun water breaks to keep things engaging and balanced.Whether your child is new to soccer or just looking for a supportive environment to play, Kickstart Collective is a place to start.

Community RecognitionKickstart Collective was invited to participate in the Beyond the Pitch event at Humber College, bringing together leaders, organizations, and advocates working to grow the game at the community level.During the event, we had the opportunity to share our work and connect with others committed to making soccer more accessible for youth across the city.Experiences like this reinforce our mission to provide inclusive, community-driven opportunities for young players to get involved in the game.

Why We’re Doing This 🧒
Kickstart Collective is a grassroots, community-based soccer camp focused on fun, inclusion, and connection. We play once a week in the heart of Toronto. No tryouts, no pressure, just fun.
Our goal is to give every child the chance to feel part of something exciting, safe, and active during the summer months.
We’ve received a permit from the City of Toronto, and all equipment is provided, including balls, and jerseys/pinnies.

Equipment We Use
We will be using both the nets at Christie Pits as well as portable 7x5 ft soccer nets during sessions. We will also be providing cones to mark boundaries, pinnies/jerseys, and soccer balls for participants to use. We currently have 6 soccer balls available, though players are welcome to bring their own as well.

🙋 Volunteers Welcome
We’re always looking for passionate community members to help make the league even better.Whether you’d like to referee, help organize teams, or support on game day, we welcome high school volunteers, parents, and community members to get involved.📬 Email us at: [email protected] to get involved.
Who is Organizing This?
Kickstart Collective was founded by a Toronto public educator and soccer coach with years of experience leading youth programs.
